WELCOME TO WALLHOPE FARM

We are a small, independent, family run farm. Right on the edge of the Wye Valley, less than 4 miles from Chepstow, South Wales. Paul & Sarah are proud to welcome and share with you, their working farm, high-quality, fresh produce & relaxing holiday retreats.

Overlooking the River Severn, Wallhope Farm is a working dairy farm with more to offer than first meets the eye. Owner’s Paul & Sarah have a long history here and welcome you to this picture-perfect country farm. The spectacular views will take your breath away and you will spot some of the resident dairy cows enjoying this glorious countryside. Wallhope Farm produces its own fresh pasteurised milk with the help of over 200 dairy cows who live on-site. We are proud to be red tractor certified.

CARING FOR OUR LIVESTOCK, LAND AND PEOPLE

Here at Wallhope Farm, we have a herd of over 200 beautiful cows, all of which are fed on a grass based system with milking taking place in the herringbone parlour twice a day. We are so proud of our herd of lovely ladies and are fully committed to ensuring their well being in every aspect of their lives, providing them with a happy environment, where they can graze our rich pastures for as much of the year as possible. The farm boasts a stunning view of the Old Severn Bridge, making a visit to Wallhope Farm very memorable.

Our self service vending for milk and milkshakes open at the farm everyday from 7am to 7pm. We’ve named the facility ‘MOO HQ’ which seems quite fitting doesn’t it! Come and see us for some fresh, tasty products. We are also excited to announce that tubs of our mouth-watering, creamy gelato, made here on site, is now available for sale at the farm (alongside our other delicious produce)! As well as our newly opened gelato parlour!

Also, why not take the opportunity to take in some of the most breath-taking scenery in the area and come to stay with us in our stunning ‘Wallhope retreat’ or our cosy ‘nook’ - we look forward to welcoming you very soon.

A more sustainable future

We love our planet & are always sourcing sustainable local products and thinking ahead about ways we can help our planet. We always try to line dry our washing both for the farmhouse and our holiday accommodation and we endeavour to use our waste water for watering the gardens.

We aim to attract wildlife, and our plan is to plant and manage our trees every year and improve the farm to becoming carbon neutral.

We love the countryside and around the farm you will see bird feeders, bat boxes, bee hives and lots of flowers to encourage wildlife. We often see woodpeckers, swallows and swifts return year on year and we have lots and lots of butterflies and dragon flies!

The heat recovery from the condensers produce hot water and an ice bank helps to chill the milk more efficiently and quickly which means green energy on the farm.

  • First visit to Wallhope, and it was just a quick one. Their gelato was absolutely lush, and decently priced. I had strawberry & chocolate, and they tasted amazing! 7 flavours out today, and all seemed very popular! We'll definitely be back! Looking forward to the burgers, when that opens!

  • What a beautiful morning out. The kiddos loved exploring the sunflower field, finding their way through the maze and reading all the wonderful facts that are displayed around. We got to greet the friendly cows and then finished the trip off with some of the absolutely delicious ice-cream. I can personally recommend the lime and basil sorbet on a hot day, it was so refreshing. All the staff we met were super helpful and very friendly. We will definitely be back for both sunflowers and milkshakes.

  • Went here today after a recommendation and it didn't disappoint. Great selection of flavours and the prices are excellent. Waffle or tubs available and about 10 flavours to choose from. There is also a place to get fresh milk from the vending machine. You can also buy tubs of your favourite flavours to take away. Fantastic view of the estuary and Severn bridges. The guy who served us was really friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to going back soon.

  • Lovely dairy farm run by a friendly family. They have recently opened to the public and told us about the history of the farm and their plans for the future. We were able to pick our pumpkins from a tidy field. Lovely view to sit and enjoy their vending machine milk and milkshakes or home made gelato or sorbets. I had the orange, honey and rosemary sorbet which was amazing, and the white marshmallow milkshake which was very tasty. It's family friendly and a very enjoyable place to visit. I look forward to revisiting.

  • What a brilliant place. After searching for somewhere to meet friends for pumpkin picking, Wallhope Farm came up. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who had a good chat with my partner and was great with the children. Our children really enjoyed the experience, even if it did rain for some of it. We enjoyed a milkshake which was delicious in the Cafe area. Would highly recommend. We hope to be back for the next event.

  • The gelato is absolutely delicious. They also now have a shop in Monmouth with really friendly staff, an absolute must to try. I had the fig and yoghurt. Massively recommend and will be back!!

  • An absolutely fantastic local gem. Beautiful location with fresh milk from the vending machine as well as delicious homemade ice cream. We were fortunate today to meet the very friendly lady behind the operation and had an ice cream in the sun from their new ice cream trailer. We will certainly be returning and will be highly recommending to friends and family.

  • My first visit to Wallhope farm for some fresh milk & chocolate milkshake from the MOO HQ self serve vending machines. A small, independent, family run farm set in picturesque countryside. Hands down, the best milk Ive ever had & the Milkshake was divine! I highly recommend you visit, enjoy the beautiful views & say hi to the gorgeous cows.

  • Absolutely LOVED Moo HQ. We stopped off to get some locally sourced milk and wow what a treat! We also tried a chocolate fudge brownie shake with the syrup machine that was available. We love supporting local business and this was such a great little experience! Will definitely come back and try the ice creams in the summer!
