FOOD MILES COULD NOT BE LOWER!

Everything is done on site to ensure we bring you the freshest produce possible - literally from farm to table.

PASSIONATE ABOUT PRODUCE

Since 2022 Paul & Sarah have been working hard to make Wallhope Farm a sustainable local business. With their herd of dairy cattle and 200 acres of farmland they aim to supply their own produce to the local area. The food miles couldn’t be lower as everything is done on site to bring you the freshest milk possible.

The journey began as soon as Paul & Sarah arrived at the farm, and in 2023 the day the machinery arrived to start their own pasteurisation process was an exciting time. It’s taken a lot to get here but the team couldn’t be prouder of what they can now offer. When you stay at the cottage here you can start your day with a bowl of cereal and cup of coffee, finished with Wallhope Farm fresh pasteurised milk.

Wallhope Farm is passionate about championing local businesses and have developed a true community spirit here. We are now very busy selling our fresh milk, milkshakes and creamy gelato to the local community and beyond! Come and visit ‘MOO HQ’ at the farm to purchase our delicious dairy products.

A more sustainable future

We love our planet & are always sourcing sustainable local products and thinking ahead about ways we can help our planet. We always try to line dry our washing both for the farmhouse and our holiday accommodation and we endeavour to use our waste water for watering the gardens.

We aim to attract wildlife, and our plan is to plant and manage our trees every year and improve the farm to becoming carbon neutral.

We love the countryside and around the farm you will see bird feeders, bat boxes, bee hives and lots of flowers to encourage wildlife. We often see woodpeckers, swallows and swifts return year on year and we have lots and lots of butterflies and dragon flies!

The heat recovery from the condensers produce hot water and an ice bank helps to chill the milk more efficiently and quickly which mean green energy on the farm.

  • "Absolutely perfect! Wonderful location, so quiet and totally peaceful despite being located on a working farm. A real gem, just wish we can go back again soon."
